MOST Will Observe the Elections for Mayor of Suto Orizari

MOST civic association, in line with its efforts to contribute to the development of democratic processes in Macedonia, announced the presence of its observers at the Elections for Mayor of Suto Orizari Municipality, scheduled for August 21.

The monitoring methods remain the same as in previous campaigns, so in addition to static monitoring teams, MOST will include several mobile teams, in terms of logistic support. The organization will also follow the process of submission of election materials and the counting of votes and entry of results at the Municipal Election Commission.

They say at MOST that, as in the past, the observers will not interfere in the work of the Election Boards, nor will provide information or give opinions and evaluation during the balloting. In accordance with the standards for domestic monitoring, all information gathered from the monitors, after the process of checking and confirmation, will be presented to the public by the MOST central office in Skopje.

The monitors and observers will be recognizable for their yellow t-shirts with blue and orange sleeves, and each monitor will carry written authorization, issued by MOST, and a badge issued by the State Elections Commission.

MOST reminds all participants in the election process that they have the moral obligation to observe the Law and organize free and fair elections.
