Amnesty International Award for the Best Film on Subject of Human Rights

As a result of the cooperation between the Amnesty International Croatia and the Motovun Film Festival, the �Amnesty International Film Award� will be awarded for the best short or feature film on the subject of human rights presented at the Festival that will take place July 25-29 in Motovun, Istria.

This year, fourteen films will compete for the award, and the winners will be decided by the jury that includes Leo Hannewijk from Amnesty International of the Netherlands; Thom Palmen from the Umea International Film Festival, Sweden; and Veronika Reskovic from �Jutarnji List� daily from Croatia.

The award will be officially presented on July 28, at the �Square Cinema� in Motovun, by Morena Zadravec, the Chairwoman of the Board of Amnesty International Croatia.

During the Festival, Amnesty International Croatia will hold a desk on the Motovun Square, opened daily from 15:00 to 23:00 hours. The donations and contributions collected at the desk will be used to cover the costs of the �Amnesty International Film Award�.
