Amnesty International Award for the Best Film on Subject of Human Rights

As a result of the cooperation between the Amnesty International Croatia and the Motovun Film Festival, the “Amnesty International Film Award” will be awarded for the best short or feature film on the subject of human rights presented at the Festival that will take place July 25-29 in Motovun, Istria.

This year, fourteen films will compete for the award, and the winners will be decided by the jury that includes Leo Hannewijk from Amnesty International of the Netherlands; Thom Palmen from the Umea International Film Festival, Sweden; and Veronika Reskovic from “Jutarnji List” daily from Croatia.

The award will be officially presented on July 28, at the “Square Cinema” in Motovun, by Morena Zadravec, the Chairwoman of the Board of Amnesty International Croatia.

During the Festival, Amnesty International Croatia will hold a desk on the Motovun Square, opened daily from 15:00 to 23:00 hours. The donations and contributions collected at the desk will be used to cover the costs of the “Amnesty International Film Award”.
