“Vrbas” Barracks Still not Open to the Students

The students of Banja Luka University are revolted by the fact that, one year after the former military barracks “Vrbas” ownership was transferred to the University, the faculties have not moved in nor they know when would it happen.
Last week, a five-member delegation sough answers to these questions at the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska and, in their words, they didn’t hear much that was new. The delegation was told that the works on the student dormitory and the mess hall will be completed by October of this year, but that the problem of heating remains open. The competent ministry announced earlier this year that the official takeover should have taken place on June 28, but the deadline was not met for undisclosed reasons. |
