Promoting the Youth Participation in the Labour Market

The round-table discussion titled “Promoting the young persons on the labour market and alternative forms of knowledge and skills acquirement” was held yesterday at the Union of Women Organizations in Macedonia (SOZM) facilities in Skopje. The discussion was organized under the “Open Space” Youth Centre Programme. The round-table discussion was also used as a setting to present the certificates and diplomas to the participants who completed the training programmes organized by the Centre in 2005. The opening address was given by Stevce Jakimovski, Minister of Labour and Social Policies, who spoke about the possibilities offered by the new Labour Law, with emphasis on the young population. The floor was then taken by the trainers and participants in the training programmes, followed by a round of Q&A on the proposed Labour Law.
