Windows Speaks Macedonian

On April 26, Microsoft Macedonia officially presented the Macedonian translation of Windows XP operating system. The users of licensed copy of Windows XP in Macedonia can download the Macedonian version, free-of-charge, from the official webiste of Microsoft Macedonia.

Apart from the brand names of some products, such as Outlook Express or Internet Explorer, which retain their English names, all other items, from the start menu to the download and print commands are translated in Macedonian. The translation was prepared by Microsoft, in cooperation with prominent linguists and IT experts from Macedonia.

Microsoft Macedonia expects to introduce the localizations of the Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, Power Point) into Macedonian market.

Comment: Microsoft is not known of giving things for free, it doesnt go together with the house policy. So it is expected that in Macedonia other Microsoft products (such as Office package) will be double charged. Thats why it si good to give information about Openoffice software which is free open source software and free for download. You can check the localization of lenguages here: http://projects.openoffice.org/native-lang.html.
