The Citizens Pact for Southeast Europe is a nongovernmental organization established with the goal to provide support to a network of nongovernmental organizations and local self-governments from all countries of the region. The network currently includes 117 member organizations from Serbia and Montenegro (including the internationally administered province of Kosovo), B&H, Croatia, Macedonia, Albania and Romania. The network was established in 2000, as a response to the establishment of the Stability Pact for the SEE. The founders’ intention was to support the process of creation of stability and democracy in the region through cross-border cooperation on local community level.

Currently, the Citizens Pact is working on the Campaign for Liberalized Visa Regimes; the Programme for support to European Integration Processes at the Local Community Level; Programme for Development of Local Level Youth Strategies; and, Programme of Cooperation of Local Communities from Vojvodina and the Netherlands.

The Citizens' Pact for SEE is a network of 117 member organizations from the region of Southeast Europe. It includes both non-governmental organizations and local administrations, which makes it very specific network. We talked to Rajko Bozic, Programme Coordinator with CP, on the possibilities for cooperation of the two sectors and the general subject of civil society in the region.
