The La voix des Rroms and the EveryOne Group, joined by Rromani Baxt, Centre AVER contre le racisme, Ternikano Berno & Centre culturel gitan, started a petition against the announcement made by Italian Home Minister and Member of the North League, Roberto Maroni, of plans to record of fingerprints of Roma people in Italy.

On the occasion of the sanctions of Croatian Football Association (HNS) because of the racist and xenophobic incidents involving some Croatian fans during the recently completed European Championship, the Centre for Peace Studies (CMS) said that HNS should do more, since it has the power and responsibility for such an action.

Povodom kažnjavanja Hrvatskog nogometnog saveza zbog rasističkih i ksenofobičnih ispada od strane djela hrvatskih navijača na netom završenom Europskom nogometnom prvenstvu, Centar za mirovne studije poručio je HNSu da mora učiniti više, zato što posjeduje moć ali i odgovornost za takvu akciju.

A report prepared by RNGO Roma 2002 will show if Macedonia will again be placed in the lower ranks of countries in terms of implementation of the Roma Inclusion Decade, or if the country has made progress into the ranks of the countries that pay more attention to these policies.

The Roma Children Centre of Serbia (DRC) reacted to the statement by the Mayor of Topola, who “rose to prominence” leading the action against the promotion of Pescanik radio show in Arandjelovac, to Blic daily (Saturday, 8.12.), that he plans to “...fence off the Roma with walls and wire“.

Grupa za lobiranje za obrazovanje Roma predlaže program sa definisanim globalnim i prioritetnim obrazovnim potrebama romske populacije. Grupa, koja radi u sastavu Koordinacije romskih NVOa Roma 2002, zastupa napredne održive projekte koji će doprineti realizaciji operativnih akcionih planova Dekade ukljucivanja Roma 2005-2015.

Fifteen Serbian human rights organizations sent an open letter to Oliver Dulic, the Speaker of the Serbian Skupstina, with a demand for public apology to Natasa Kandic and the Croatian minority in Serbia in the next session of the Skupstina (Serbian Parliament).

A group of Macedonian non-governmental organizations give their full support and solidarity to Iso Rusi, journalist and president of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Macedonia, related to the attacks and threats that the Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA) sent to his address provoked by his recent op-ed, titled “Gospodin Gospodin Thaqi” (Gospodin Gospodin is the official title of the archbishop of the Macedonian Orthodox Church), published in “Koha” daily newspaper.

The Centre for Peace Studies sent an open letter to the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, protesting the fact that 13-year old boy of Croatian-Liberian origin was expelled by his elementary school in Split on petition by the parents of the other students from his class. One of the reasons used to “justify” the request was that he was “Bantu”.

Jučer su mediji objavili kako je splitska osnovna škola Trstenik izbacila trinaestogodišnjeg dječaka liberijsko-hrvatskog podrijela, učenika četvrtog razreda, na osnovu peticije roditelja učenika njegovog razreda. U peticiji se kao razlog zahtijeva za izbacivanjem među ostalim navodi kako je dječak "bantu-crnac". Direktor škole je ovaj postupak opravdao činjenicom da dječak ne govori dobro hrvatski jezik, dok je Županijska pročelnica za prosvjetu kao obrazloženje navela činjenicu da je dječak bio puno stariji od ostalih učenika. Ovim je povodom Centar za mirovne studije (CMS) uputio otvoreno pismo Ministarstvu znanosti, obrazovanja i sporta.

Inicijativa na mladite za covekovi prava gi povika vlastite vo Srbija da prekinata so politikata na nekaznuvanje na ispisuvanjeto na rasistickite, nacionalistickite i fasistickite grafiti. Vlastite se obvrzani najsotro da reagiraat i da gi kaznat cinitelite na ovie krivicni dela.

Inicijativa mladih za ljudska prava pozvala je vlasti u Srbiji da prekinu sa politikom nekažnjavanja ispisivanja rasističkih, nacionalističkih i fašističkih grafita. Vlasti su obavezne da najoštrije reaguju i kazne počinioce ovih krivičnih dela.
