Film festival showcasing South Asian culture
26.10.2007 The second South Asian Film Festival is currently on in New Delhi. Starting from October, 24, the festival will go on until October 30. A total of 45 films, including mainstream cinema, documentaries and short films are going to be screened.

Connecting to the world
25.10.2007 Bihar is one of the few states in India, which has failed to reap the benefits of modern technology. To catch up with other states, the government now plans to take internet into the rural hinterland. The e-kiosks will function as delivery points for e-governance and e-learning centres, providing information and services such as commodity rates, agricultural counselling, health and hygiene, etc.

10.10.2007 Over 3,000 labourers signed on a monster banner to remind the Pakistan government of its promises to eradicate poverty and other MDG goals. The 10 km banner, patched together from smaller bits of cloth, will carry 1.5 million signatures to be unfurled in Bahawalpur on October 17.
