La famosa località turistica è stata la più colpita dall’onda anomala abbattutasi sull’isola di Java in seguito a un forte sisma sottomarino a largo di Jakarta. Nel disastro sono morte almeno 379 persone. E il bilancio è ancora provvisorio. Intanto laddove non arrivano gli aiuti ufficiali i locali si mobilitano come possono - riporta l'agenzia Asianews. Centinaia di rifugiati, che hanno dormito all’aperto la notte scorsa in moschee e campi allestiti d’urgenza, lamentano che il governo locale non ha ancora distribuito sufficiente cibo e acqua, né vestiti. Gli abitanti restano sotto forte shock: il cataclisma di ieri è il terzo a colpire l’Indonesia in un anno e mezzo. Intanto si indaga sulle responsabilità ed è polemica sulle misure di sicurezza: l'allarme infatti è suonato in ritardo e la parte meridionale dell'isola di Giava era completamente priva di un sistema di controllo.

Prosvjed ocjenjujemo uspjelim i veoma značajnim, jer su ga zajedno organizirali predstavnici civilnog društva iz Slovenije, Italije i Hrvatske, te ugledni slovenski tjednik “Mladina“.
