On.net is one of the most prominent internet service providers now trying to move into other areas of telecommunications. It has already signed the interconnection agreement with incumbent operator of fixed land-lines, Macedonian Telecommunications. The former Director General of the World Conservation Union (IUCN), Ahim Steiner, said that the organization adopted a "very purposeful decision" to open its programming regional office for the Southeast Europe in Belgrade, with the goal to provide assistance through advise, but also to help the approximation of national environmental protection policies with EU legislation, under the process of European integrations.

Lina Kosturova-Unkovska, Director of the Centre for Psychosocial and Crisis Action, has worked on post-conflict stress and trauma treatment, as well as community development through activities designed for children, since the start of wars in former Yugoslavia. The Citizens' Pact for SEE is a network of 117 member organizations from the region of Southeast Europe. It includes both non-governmental organizations and local administrations, which makes it very specific network. We talked to Rajko Bozic, Programme Coordinator with CP, on the possibilities for cooperation of the two sectors and the general subject of civil society in the region.

Zrinjka Perusko is a senior associate researcher with the Institute for International Relations from Zagreb, where she is the head of the Department of Culture and Communication. She graduated and earned her Ph.D. at the Department of Sociology at Zagreb University School of Philosophy. During the academic year 2001/02, she was a Fulbright Visiting Professor at the Department of Communication and Culture, Indiana University, Bloomington, SAD. Perusko taught Mass Media Communications, Political Sociology and Theory of Industrial Democracy, and post-graduate courses in Media and Society and American Media.

Jasminka Dzumhur, National Human Rights Officer with UN High Commission for Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2001, works in Sarajevo and shares her time between Sarajevo and Zenica. For years, she had been active in one of the oldest and strongest women NGOs in B&H, Medika from Zenica, and later with the Centre for Legal Assistance for Women, also in Zenica. Human rights, and women human rights in particular, have been her main area of interest for over 11 years.
