08.04.2008 The Human Rights Office of the Government of Croatia announced the public competition for projects and programmes by associations for protection and promotion of human rights, for funding from the 2008 State Budget.

19.02.2008 The Municipality of Zenica, in accordance with the 2005-2008 Social Welfare Development Plan, announces the Tender for Allocation of Grants for Community Activities Projects (PAZ) in the area of Welfare 2008

06.02.2008 The Balkan Community Initiatives Fund (BCIF) accepts applications for its Active Communities and Social Transition programmes. All local associations and informal civic groups from Serbia are eligible to apply for budgets of up to 350,000 Dinars.

09.01.2008 The Women’s Leadership Scholarship (WLS) program creates educational opportunities for women activists, grassroots leaders, and organizers from the Global South and/or from indigenous groups.

26.09.2007 The U.S. nongovernmental organizations Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC), financed by USAID and implementing the Civil Society Advancement Initaitive Programme (CSAI), opened a competition, on September 17, for funding of projects submitted by experienced CSOs as support for their public advocacy activities in Serbia. The Deadline for submission of proposals expires on October 24, at 14:00 hours.

11.09.2007 The ERSTE Foundation Award for Social Integration is designed to promote and recognize organizations in the public and non-profit sectors that engage people’s abilities, capacities, and initiatives for socially oriented practice and progressive change in society.

14.08.2007 The United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) has identified gender responsive budgets (GRB) as a key tool for advancing gender equality and women’s rights. To support implementation of the NAP for Gender Equality and in the context of its regional GRB Programme, UNIFEM CEE will accept concept notes related to activities that use a gender responsive budgeting approach in Serbia.

24.07.2007 The Balkan Community Initiatives Fund – BCIF, under its Active Communities programme, supported 14 projects from Serbia in its April and June rounds for applications, worth a total of 3,849,498.00 Dinars.

15.05.2007 The Olof Palme International Center, Swedish organization working in the field of development cooperation, announces its annual call for application to all non-profit civil society organizations in B&H, under its Western Balkans Programme, financed by SIDA (Swedish International Development Agency). The Deadline for application of concepts expires on June 1, 2007.

17.04.2007 Zvornik Municipality invites all interested civic associations and organizations with headquarters on its territory to apply to the competition for distribution of funds in 2007. The deadline for application expires on April 24, 2007.

02.03.2007 The BH Foundation Mozaik and the World Bank in Bosnia and Herzegovina are launching the Small Grants Program for 2007 and invite all interested local non governmental organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina to send their applications for this program.

27.02.2007 The Success Grants will help NGOs inform citizens about the good work they have done in the R. Macedonia. They will offer opportunities for NGOs to promote the impact of their individual organizations, thereby attracting new members and supporters, gaining legitimacy and influencing public opinion about the positive benefit of NGOs.

19.02.2007 The East West Institute announces public competition for grants under its GPKT Project (Gnjilane, Presevo, Kumanovo, Trgoviste Cross-Border cooperation). The deadline for application expires on March 15, 2007.

14.02.2007 The Metamorphosis Foundation announces the opening of the open competition for establishment of digital clubhouses (E-points) with six computers each.

07.02.2007 The NOVA High School and the Boris Trajkovski International Foundation will award three four-year scholarships for gifted students, for the 2007/2008 academic year.

05.02.2007 The Ecumenical Women Solidarity Fund is a regional organization based in Croatia, supporting stimulating and transforming initiatives that support women as actors and instigators of change in religious communities and society in general.

30.01.2007 The Civil Society Strengthening Project, implemented by the Institute for Sustainable Communities, financed by the USAID, announced a call for submission of grant proposals for experienced NGOs, under the title “Citizens’ Participation in the Fight against Corruption in Macedonia”.

18.01.2007 The Small Grants Programme helps the World Bank to promote dialogue and information dissemination among the civil society organizations. The focus of the Small Grants Program for 2007 is Youth civic engagement.

09.01.2007 The Civil Society Advocacy Initiative (CSAI) opened the competition for support to advocacy activities of civil society organizations in Serbia. The projects should promote civil society and strengthening of CSOs in Serbia, through advocacy, support for civic activism and legal reforms. Majority of approved grants shall amount between 50,000 and 75,000 US Dollars per year. Deadline for Application expires on February 5, 2007.
