HANSM is non-profit organization of single mothers and fathers, who exchange experience and information and provide assistance to single parents in Macedonia. The organization, however, is not there only for the parents, but works to assist the children and families that face similar problems and challenges.

'Bread of Life' is a non-governmental organization established in 1992 in Belgrade. It started its activities in Prijedor in 1996, and focused its work in the years immediately after the end of the war on providing assistance to refugee and IDP population.

Media Centre Nis is a media organization created as a result of a joint project of two NGOs, with support of an independent production company from Nis and financial assistance from USAID/OTI. MCN is located in downtown Nis, in great facilities, and boasts a conference room, editing boards, Media Club (internet cafe for journalists and visitors), as well as abundant office space.

Amici dei Bambini (AIBI) association (Friends of Children) was founded in 1986, as a non-governmental association that works on projects and intervention in cases of abandoned children. The majority of interventions and projects implemented by AIBI are designed for single-parent families. The goals of the interventions are: to offer to children and youth a place where they can meet, play together, hang around and grow up together in happiness. AIBI Centres are also places for gathering and friendship of single mothers which, if needed, may receive psychological support with the aim to overcome difficulties and problems.

Women groups in Serbia first faced the problem of human trafficking in the 1990s. ASTRA (Anti Sex Trafficking Action) is the first NGO that focused its work and activities on this problems, giving in the treatment of one of gravest forms of violence against women. The goal of the activities (prevention, education and assistance to the victims) is to provide greater visibility for this problem in the society. ASTRA also works to contribute to a position of the society towards this problems that will be free of the prejudices for the victims of the sex trafficking, who often suffer psycho-physical violence.

The Kosova Women's Network is a network of local women's groups. This includes groups that have over ten years of experience in community development, as well as new groups that have been founded since the arrival of the UN in Kosova. Members of the network provide a variety of community services to vulnerable women, including courses, trainings, aid, and psychological support. Additionally, they work on social problems affecting women and girls today, such as violence against women, trafficking for prostitution, and low enrollment of girls in schools and at the University. We also work with Serbian and Roma women in Kosova by providing support and training so they may build up their capacity to work effectively on behalf of their communities.

The Network for Affirmation of the Non-Governmental Sector MANS is a non-governmental organization that supports and promotes the development of a sound, active and sustainable civil society in Montenegro. In its work, MANS uses the participatory approach – promotes networks and coalitions of NGOs, active participation by the citizens and effective public advocacy; establishment of partnership relations with the public institutions and institutions of the State; promotes researches, analyses and exchange of information and provides capacity building services. The basic principles of MANS are: impartiality, transparency, responsibility and openness.
