27.09.2007 The Human Rights Centre, after the public debate on the Governments proposal for a Law on the Right to Free Legal Assistance, recommended the Govenrnment to review, once again, all the remarks and criticism against the draft presented by legal experts, nongovernmental associations and trade unions.

25.09.2007 The Zelena akcija activists, in cooperation with Heinrich Böll Stiftungom marked September 22, the World Carfree Day, with distribution of information leaflets and polls of the citizens about their habits regarding the use of various means of transportation and commuting. The activities took place at the Zagreb Cvijetni trg (Flower Market Square).

26.07.2007 On July 16-17, the European Environmental Bureau – EEB organized a meeting of the New NGO Forum – 18 environmental organizations from Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Turkey, BiH, Albania and Croatia – with the representatives of European Commission and the Directorate General Environment (EC’s Ministry of Environment).

11.07.2007 Last Saturday, July 7, the fifth Zagreb Pride took place, the pride walk of LGBTIQ persons. The 300 participants in the walk were protected by almost as many policemen in full riot-control equipment. However, if the Police managed to prevent incident during the walk, after the Pride ended and the Police pulled out, more than 30 people were attacked, claim the organizers of the event, some of whom had to seek medical assistance for injuries they suffered.
