02.11.2007 The Cesi association decided to step out of the Croatian Women Network, listing as main reason the repeated non-feminist practices of the CWN coordinator to make decisions and public appearances without prior consultations with the members of the Network.

31.10.2007 GONG and Transparency International Croatia invite the political parties, independent lists and candidates from the national minorities to publicly released, by the start of Election Campaign on November 3, the amounts they intend to spend on their respective campaigns, as required by the Law.

26.10.2007 The Croatian Women Network and Women infoteka initiated a case in front of Administrative Court, against the Croatian Gender Equality Office, on charges of violations of the Law on Free Access to Information.

25.10.2007 The GONG civic association will monitor the activities of the Ballot Day in the coming Parliamentary Elections, to ensure that elections proceed in accordance with the Law. The organization invites the citizens to apply and join the monitoring activities.

22.10.2007 Last Saturday, October 20, the activists of Zelena Akcija and Right to a City renamed the Petar Preradovic Square in Zagreb into the Square of Victims of Milan Bandic (the Mayor of Zagreb).

17.10.2007 The Centre for Peace Studies (CMS) congratulated, in an open letter to the President of the Republic and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations, the selection of the Republic of Croatia for non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.

15.10.2007 The New York Centre for Reproductive Rights, Interights and Centre for Education, Counselling and Research CESI from Zagreb, filed a complaint against Croatia to the European Social Rights Committee, for its attempt to introduce a discriminatory and scientifically inaccurate abstinence based sexual education programme in the schools.

12.10.2007 The Croatian Youth Network invites all interested to a public debate on the topic “Politics for the Youth”, on Monday, October 15, 2007, at the Journalists’ Club in Zagreb. The debate, organized by CYN, in cooperation with the youth organizations of political parties, starts at 11:00 hours.

08.10.2007 The Right to a City initiative and Zelena akcija environmental organization claim that recent collapse of the ground in Zagreb and the scandal involving swap of development lots in Maksimir do result from the unscrupulous policies of exploitation of the city, implemented intentionally by Mayor Milan Bandic.
