30.05.2007 There was no significant progress or changes in protection of children rights in Serbia, concludes the Children Rights Centre in its Report on Status of Children Rights for 2006.

29.05.2007 After it announced its action “Placate Your Hero”, the BIRO Movement received a number of threats from members of various neo-Nazi organizations. Fearing the united neo-Nazis and nationalist may direct their aggression towards BIRO activists, the movement decided to conduct its action a day earlier.

21.05.2007 Serbia finally got its Ministry of Youth and Sports as a result, among others, of the efforts invested by the Youth Coalition of Serbia. The first Minister of Youth and Sports will be Snezana Samardzic Markovic.

04.05.2007 On the occasion of the Ganja March scheduled to taka place in Belgrade’s Republic Square, on May 5 (Saturday), the members of extreme right organizations known as the United Patriots or United Serb Nationalists, announced a counter-march and threatened to attack the participants of the global movement for abolition of prohibition on marihuana.

23.04.2007 Serbian NGOs demand from the competent authorities to act and discover the perpetrators, the background the people who ordered the attempt on the life of Dejan Anastasijevic, journalist at “Vreme” weekly, on the night of April 14.

29.03.2007 The Civic Initiatives, in cooperation with the European Centre for Non-profit Law (ECNL) from Budapest, and under the auspices of the Civil Society Advocacy Initiative – CSAI programme implemented by the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC) prepares a Manual on Tax System for Civic Association in Serbia. The manual is financed by USAID.

29.03.2007 The Vojvodina Executive Council (the provincial government) adopted the Draft Law on Gender Equality, proposed by the Provincial Secretariat of Labour, Employment and Gender Equality.

29.03.2007 On the occasion of March 22, the World Water Day 2007, the efforts of the International Underwater Film Festival (IUFF) in Belgrade were recognized by the UNEP MAP (UN Environmental Programme), for its role as one of the most important European film festivals dedicated to and promoting protection of world’s water.

22.03.2007 The YUCOM committee of human rights lawyers of Serbia won its first litigation against the state of Serbia in front of the European Court for Human Rights.
