Finally settled the territorial dispute over the mediterranean peninsula of Prevlaka. The agreement - reached more than 10 years after the beginning of the conflict between Croatia and Yugoslavia - constitutes the first step in solving a series of open disputes between the two countries.

The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia is going through a major structural reform that will put an end to the history of the federal State: the new union of Serbia and Montenegro will soon operate a readjustment of its migratory policies and border controls, a reform likely to have a determining effect on the east-west migration fluxes.
