27.06.2006 The participants of the Gender Equality and Role of Women in Transition and Development of Democratic Values Conference presented the institutions, public services, media, the Priboj Municipal Gender Equality Council and NGO with a set of recommendations designed to assist the achievement of true gender equality.

21.06.2006 The status of refugees in former Yugoslavia and the Kosovo IDPs in Serbia and Montenegro has turned for the worse by the breakdown of the union of states and the uncertain status of Kosovo, say the representatives of the Group 484 at the presentation of their 2005 Report on Status of Human Rights of Forced Migrants.

20.06.2006 Activists of the “SOS Telefon Niksic” non-governmental organizations gave a performance on Friday, June 16, in front of the Municipal Building in Niksic, under the motto Did she stumble down the stairs? The performance was organized under the Programme for Improved Rights of Women in the Villages in Niksic Area, with financial support from the Balkan Community Initiatives Fund and the Dutch Central and Eastern Europe Foundation.

20.06.2006 On the occasion of recent demonstration of hate-speech in Serbian Skupstina (the parliament), when Zoran Krasic, MP from the Serb Radical Party, called Ivana Dulic-Markovic, Minister of Agriculture, an "ustasha" from the pulpit, a group of eight NGOs printed a leaflet to remind the public about previous cases of Radicals' involvement in similar incidents.

16.06.2006 The “Ukrstanje” Civic Association, in cooperation with “Forum Syd” and the Novi Sad Youth Club, started the implementation of the Centre for Promotion of Informal Education: Stage 2 – Browsing project, under the sponsorship of the Vojvodina Provincial Secretariat of Youth and Sports and under the auspices of the Youth Policy Action Plan implementation.

13.06.2006 The Horkeskart organization gave a performance in front of several national institutions in Belgrade. The institutions were selected based on the criteria that “... as it is, they make more harm than good”.

13.06.2006 On June 8, 2006, the Argument association and the Centre for Development of Non-Profit Sector (CRNPS), organized the Level of Development of Civil Society in Serbia conference. The conference, supported by UNDP and the European Agency for Reconstruction, was held at the “Metropol” Hotel in Belgrade.

12.06.2006 The Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (National Association of Local Authorities) presented the Handbook for Local Councilors on Inter-ethnic Relations, designed to assist the local self-government representatives in implementation of national equality.

09.06.2006 The Humanitarian Law Centre filed criminal charges against the anonymous author and performer of the song titled “Let’s Cut Some Throats”, on charges of inciting of racial, religious and national hatred and intolerance.
