The Narodna skupstina (Parliament) of Republic of Srpska adopted the information submitted by the Ministry of the Interior of RS on the police activities in Hajducke Vode and Visegrad and concluded that "the tragic events in Visegrad, as well as the following events, have achieved the level of political involvement which puts in danger the authority of the RS institutions".

The Faculty of Agriculture in Sarajevo, whose facilities will be demolished to make way for the expansion of the Road of Life street, still searches for new building. "We lost our building during the war and ever since, we are constantly moving from one place to the other. That has to stop," said Vjekoslav Selak, the Dean of the Faculty.

On May 14-15,2004, an NGO Fair and Exhibition was held in Banja Luka, under the sponsorship of the US Department of Agriculture, and in cooperation with the International Orthodox Christian Charities IOCC. A total of 46 organizations and associations from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the Fair. The goal of the Fair was to introduce the citizens with the humanitarian activities of Bosnian NGOs.

By the end of 2007, Bosnia and Herzegovina could retain it credit and loan solvency and increase the competition capacities of its companies in the global capital markets. It could also reduce the poverty levels by 20% and establish a sustainable market economy, said Zlatko Hurtic, the PRSP Coordinator for B&H yesterday in Sarajevo.

Sixty-six returnees, refugees and IDPs, as well as persons with special needs from Prijedor, successfully completed the course on the basics of information sciences. The training programme lasted from February 1 to April 30, 2004, and was financed by the Danish Refugee Council.

Yesterday, the Infective Diseases Clinic in Banja Luka received 14 new patients with Q-Fever symptoms, confirmed Srboljub Golubovic, Head of the Clinic. Over the past five days, medical treatment was sought by some 100 people exhibiting the symptoms, 42 of whom were hospitalized, while the rest was sent to domestic care.

“Don” NGO from Prijedor started the “Together for Culture” Project. The goal of the project is to facilitate the preparation of the Culture Development Strategy for Prijedor, for 2004-2005. The Project is supported by the European Cultural Foundation from Amsterdam, and it is expected to get the support from the Prijedor Municipality.

The European Youth Peace Summit, Sarajevo 2004, which started last Thursday, May 7, ended on Monday, May 10. The Summit, held in the Olympic Sports Hall “Zetra”, gathered 550 future leaders from all over Europe.
