In order to address youth problems in areas of business and business ideas development, UNV/UNDP Integrated Youth Programme (IYP) together with the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo (EFSA), organized a series of lectures by Sarah Douik, guest assistant at the Economics Faculty in Sarajevo. The lectures are being held every Monday, at the Economics Faculty in 14.00 hours, and it will last until April 2005.

UNDP BiH, in cooperation with the Council of Ministers and Employers Association of BiH today presented the UN Commission on the Private Sector and Development report "Unleashing Entrepreneurship - Making Business Work for the Poor.'' The report explores how to enhance entrepreneurship and private sector growth in developing and transitional countries.

The TI B&H Advocacy and Legal Advice Centre received more that 2,500 reports on cases of corruption and abuse of office. The high number speaks of the great presence of administrative corruption in Bosnia and Herzegovina and of large-scale organized abuses in all levels of Government.

Last Saturday, the Coalition for Protection of Vrbas River, made of environmental organizations from the region of Banja Luka, started collecting signatures for its petition to suspend the Concession Agreement for construction of two hydro-electric dams on Vrbas River.

The US Government, through its Agency for International Development (USAID), and in cooperation with the Alfred Lerner Business and Economy College of the University of Delaware and the Faculty of Economy in Sarajevo, started the Sarajevo Graduate School of Business (SGSB). The School was officially opened yesterday in Sarajevo.
