Last weekend, the training „Protection of Children and Youth from Sexual Exploitation and Possibilities for Prevention” was held in Belgrade. The seminar discussed the identification of sexual exploitation, trafficking, HIV/AIDS related issues, discrimination of HIV carriers, drug-abuse and alcoholism, campaigns as an instrument of public information.

The citizens should take active participation in the work of the municipal administration and to control the local governments. They should prevent the Mayors to turn into godlike features, the municipalities their local estates, and the decentralization the unfinished story. These were the conclusions from the yesterday’s debate “The NGO sector and the Local Government”, organized by the FORUM – Centre for Strategic Research.

The Croatian Women Network reported on April 17 that the Bureau of Associations (established by the Government to pursue professional and other activities related to creation of conditions for partner relations and inter-sectoral cooperation with the NGO sector) contradicts, with its actions, the goals and aims for which it was set up, as pursuant to the Directive on Associations.
