H.E. Mr. Robert Bosscher, Ambassador of the Netherlands and Mr. Jens Toyberg-Frandzen , UNDP Resident Representative, announced the financial contribution from the Netherlands to the UNDP’s Srebrenica Regional Recovery Programme totaling 4 million Euro for recovery of the Srebrenica Region. The funds will be used for economic development, public infrastructure and house reconstruction and for improvement of public services.

Leading municipal adminstrations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with governmental and nongovernmental organizations that achived significant results in the development of local administration, formed the Partners’ Group for Development of Local Government in B&H at the meeting they held in Banja Luka, December 22.

In the past several days, a number of citizens have contacted GONG about the fact that they will have to work full hours on Election Day, January 3 (most companies will conduct assets inventory). The citizens fear that their employers won’t have much understanding for their wish to implement their voting rights, i.e. they would not get a proper break during which they could go and cast their ballots in the Presidential Elections.
