Environmental NGOs and sports-fishing and anglers associations from Croatia and Serbia and Montenegro, together with the Croatian Environmental Press Centre, signed the Declaration on Protection of Danube River in Osijek. The Declaration will be submitted to the European Union, European Commission and the Governments of the two countries.

The lawyers from the International Aid Network (IAN) started an initiative at the Supreme Court of Serbia to review and revise its position on the cases of forced mobilizations of B&H and Croatian refugees, back in 1995.

MJAFT, the movement of the Albanian youth, has been honored on Wednesday (24 November) with the annual United Nations International Award for Civil Society. The ceremony was held during noontime in Vienna and with the participation of over 200 ambassadors and dignitaries of various countries, members of UN.

The “They Don’t Trust” Action, followed by a street performance by ACT Women and the Academict Theatre, will be held on Thursday, November 25, 2004, at the Republic Square. The action will start at 15:00 hours, and is organized by the Autonomous Women Centre. The action is organized under the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence.

In the next month, the Youth Information Agency plans to open the first youth information desk fully compliant with the European standards. The first desk will be opened in Zenica, to be followed by seven more desks in other cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Youth Info Desks will be opened in cooperation with the local governments of the eight cities.
