The Documenta Centre reacted to the attacks on Vladimir Gojanovića, witness in the trial of Croatian generals Gotovina, Čermak and Markač for crimes committed during and after the `Storm` campaign of 1995, at the Hague Tribunal, noting the lack of willingness of Croatian society to accept that Croatian armed forces also committed crimes.

A member of the United Nations police force in Kosovo has died of injuries he sustained in violent clashes with Serbian demonstrators in the divided town of Mitrovica. While, more than 150 people, including NATO and UN personnel, were wounded on Monday during running battles between peacekeepers and Serbs opposed to Kosovan independence.

Whole of Croatia follows carefully the start of the trial in the Hague Tribunal of three Croatian generals for the crimes committed in the Storm Military Offensive in 1995. Over the next two years of the trial, many details about the offensive are expected to be uncovered.

More than half the women in the world live in countries that have made no progress towards gender equity in recent years, finds the Gender Equity Index (GEI) 2008 that Social Watch launched here as a contribution to the 52nd Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women that ended on March 8, the International Womens Day.

The UN Climate Conference starts in Bali, Indonesia, next Monday, December 3, gathering the world leaders for and event that will mark the start of the process that will decide the fate of the world. The conference will conclude its work on December 14.
