A group of 40 bloggers, gathered around the BLOGGER.ba service, submitted an initiative to the Assembly of the Canton of Sarajevo, demanding a vote of no-confidence for the Cantonal Government led by Prime Minister Samir Silajdžić.

Nikola Špirić, President of BiH Council of Ministers and Pierre Mirel, Western Balkans Director of the General Directorate for EU Expansion, signed the Framework Agreement on rules of implementation of European Commission assistance for BiH, under the IPA (Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance).

Civil society organizations demanded from the Croatian Sabor (the Parliament) to name the external members of Parliamentary Committees in a clear and transparent procedure, to reduce the number of laws adopted in an urgent procedure, and demanded greater transparency from the Government in terms of allocation of funds from the State Budget.

Organizacije civilnoga društva zatražile su od Hrvatskog sabora da se vanjski članovi u saborske odbore imenuju jasnom i transparentnom procedurom, da se smanji broj zakona u hitnom postupku, a od Vlade su zatražili veću transparentnost kod dodjele proračunskih sredstava.

Sanjin Bužo, member of OWPSEE team and experienced human rights and social justice activists in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Southeast Europe, was arrested during the protests last Wednesday, February 13, in front of the Government of the Canton of Sarajevo. Provoked by diverse interpretations of the information surrounding his arrest, Bužo addressed the media and the general public with a public statement, with the aim to clear up certain muted points and accusations against him. Sanjin Bužo, član OWPSEE-jevog tima i dugogodišnji aktivista na polju ljudskih prava i socijalne pravde u BiH i šire u regionu Jugoistočne Evrope, uhapšen je tokom protesta prošle srijede, 13.02.2008, ispred zgrade kantonalne vlade u Sarajevu. Ponukan različitim interpretacijama informacija oko hapšenja, Bužo se obraća medijima i javnosti, u želji da se neke nedoumice i optužbe na njegov račun razjasne. The Disciplinary Commission of the High Judicial Council of B&H declared Vlado Adamovic, Judge of the B&H Court, responsible of behaviour unbecoming a Judge of the highest court in the country and detrimental to his office, and removed him from his position.

Prvostepena disciplinska komisija Visokog sudskog i tužilackog vijeća BiH oglasila je odgovornim Vladu Adamovića, sudiju Suda BiH, za ponasanje u izvan suda koje šteti ugledu sudijske funkcije, te mu izrekla disciplinsku mjeru razrješenja od dužnosti.

Protests against the deteriorating security and street crime situation in Sarajevo that started last Saturday, and directly provoked by the brutal murder of 17-year old Denis Mrnjavac, continued yesterday, in front of the Government of the Canton of Sarajevo, with demands for Mayor Semiha Borovac and Cantonal Prime Minister Semir Silajdjic to resign from their positions.
