Campagna OSM - Obiezione spese militari

21.05.2005 Enron, the sponsorship scandal in Ottawa, the state of long-term care in the province of Alberta and recent events at the Alberta Securities Commission all bring into question the effectiveness of existing regulation in protecting the public interest. It has become evident that whistleblowers, too, have a key role to play in protecting the public, but often do so at their own risk. A new report looks closely at some of the key issues that must be addressed when looking at whistleblower legislation, especially the striking of an appropriate balance between the public interest and the duty of fidelity to an employer.

These were the conclusions of the debate on the implementation of the law on Responsibility for Human Rights Violations, organized by the Youth Initiative for Human Rights.
