Bari: 100mila al corteo di Libera contro le mafie

16.03.2008 Oltre 100 mila persone da tutta Italia sono giunte a Bari convocate da Libera e Avviso Pubblico per la XIII edizione della "Giornata della memoria e dell'impegno in ricordo di tutte le vittime delle mafia". Il corteo, partito dall'ecomostro abbattuto di Punta Perotti, era aperto da don Luigi Ciotti e dai familiari delle vittime delle mafie e ha scandito i nomi delle oltre 700 vittime delle mafie. "Basta! Le parole sono stanche. Contro le mafie serve l'agire concreto a partire dalle istituzioni e dal mondo politico" - ha affermato don Ciotti. A Bari hanno marciato anche circa 200 giovani europei in rappresentanza di oltre 50 Ong di 30 paesi del mediterraneo, dei balcani e dell'ex Unione Sovietica del Caucaso che insieme a Libera presenteranno a Bruxelles al Parlamento europeo agli inizi di giugno la prima ''Rete Europea contro le mafie''.
