Indonesia: oltre 350 vittime dello tsunami, fallita la prevenzione 19.07.2006 Invocano aiuto e hanno paura di essere trascurati dai soccorsi i circa 23 mila sopravvissuti allo tsunami di ieri a Pangandaran in Indonesia. La famosa località turistica è stata la più colpita dall’onda anomala abbattutasi sull’isola di Java in seguito a un forte sisma sottomarino a largo di Jakarta. Nel disastro sono morte almeno 379 persone. E il bilancio è ancora provvisorio. Intanto laddove non arrivano gli aiuti ufficiali i locali si mobilitano come possono - riporta l'agenzia Asianews. Centinaia di rifugiati, che hanno dormito all’aperto la notte scorsa in moschee e campi allestiti d’urgenza, lamentano che il governo locale non ha ancora distribuito sufficiente cibo e acqua, né vestiti.
